Aegis · A Zarefat initiative In development
A stronger shield
for the next generation.
Aegis combines interactive learning, guided practice, and personalized teaching to help children and families recognize manipulation, respond to danger, and build resilience.
We’re building a platform that makes protection something children can learn and practice—with parents walking alongside them.
Rooted in a larger mission
Aegis grows out of Zarefat’s commitment to form disciples, build redemptive communities, and shield the oppressed.
Technology extends that work alongside personal intervention, practical training, and long-term discipleship—helping us reach more families while keeping people at the heart of the mission.
From the Gloo AI Hackathon
A vision recognized for its design.
Aegis reached the finals and earned the Best Design Award at the Gloo AI Hackathon.
More than a game.
Preparation for real life.
Through a world of sheep, wolves, and guardians, children explore situations that develop their ability to recognize danger and make thoughtful choices.
The goal goes beyond answering questions correctly. It is to help children notice manipulation, practice boundaries, and know when to turn to a trusted adult.
Recognize
Learn to identify warning signs, unhealthy pressure, and attempts to exploit trust.
Practice
Work through age-appropriate scenarios and explore safer responses.
Grow
Build confidence, reinforce learning, and develop habits that carry beyond the game.
A guided path—with clear boundaries
Defined rules. Thoughtful teaching.
Aegis is being designed around a deterministic approach: defined rules govern the learning journey, while AI helps shape the experience within those boundaries.
We’re building this approach around expert-defined frameworks, data-backed learning paths informed by child psychology, and the heart of the gospel.
AI helps create learning flows and adapt how concepts are explained. The platform guides each user along a structured path, rather than leaving a child’s learning journey to unrestricted AI decisions.
The rules define the path. AI helps tailor the teaching.
Defined framework
Expert guidance and clear boundaries define the learning journey.
Guided learning
Age-appropriate paths and scenarios shape the experience within those rules.
Tailored teaching
Materials adapt to each learner’s needs, within defined boundaries.
Teaching that fits the learner
Teaching that
fits the learner.
Different families need different explanations, formats, and levels of support.
Aegis is being designed to use AI to customize teaching materials and podcasts around learning requirements—such as the topic, language, level, and preferred format.
A concept introduced in the game can be reinforced through a tailored lesson or podcast, helping children and parents continue the conversation together.
Privacy by design
Personalization without sharing a child’s particulars with AI.
Our design principle is clear: AI does not receive a child’s personal particulars.
The platform handles child-specific information separately. It translates learning needs into limited, non-identifying instructions for AI, without sharing the child’s identity or personal details.
Handled by the platform
Child-specific information stays separate. The platform manages the learner’s profile, progress, and settings.
Provided to AI
Only the teaching requirements needed to create material—for example, the topic, age range, learning level, or format. AI does not receive the child’s personal profile.
This separation is part of the architecture we are developing and must be verified before launch.
